When you browse competitor electric fires, you'll notice something: the nicest flame effects, the most realistic log beds, the most dramatic lighting — they're usually optional extras. Upgrades. Things you pay more for. At Mayfair Fires, everything that makes the fire look extraordinary is included as standard.
Real Deluxe Log Bed — Included Free
The log bed in an electric fire is what grounds the flame effect in reality. A cheap log bed looks like painted plastic. A real deluxe log bed — with authentic textures, split wood grain, natural colouring and charred detailing — makes the flames above it look genuinely real.
Every Mayfair fire ships with a real deluxe log bed included at no additional charge. This is the same log specification that competitors charge as a premium upgrade. We include it as standard because we believe the fire should look extraordinary from day one.
LED Illuminated Log Bed
The log bed is not just decorative. In every Mayfair fire, the log bed is LED illuminated from below, creating a warm glow that rises through the logs and merges with the flame effect above. This creates a sense of depth and layering that flat, un-illuminated logs simply cannot achieve.
The LED illumination across the log bed is independently controllable via the app, allowing you to adjust the warmth and intensity of the base glow separately from the main flame effect. Evening ambience without the heat? Set the flame effect to low, illuminate the logs, and enjoy.
Ultra HD Multi-Layer Optical Flames
The flame technology in Mayfair fires uses multi-layer optical projection. Unlike single-layer systems that project one flat image of flames, multi-layer optics create separate planes of movement — embers rising from the base, mid-level flames flickering, high tongues of fire reaching upward.
The result, particularly viewed through the 3-sided Black Mirror Edition glass, is a depth and realism that genuinely causes visitors to double-take. The flames appear to exist in three-dimensional space within the fire chamber.
Rotisserie Flame Effect
The rotisserie effect is a cascading, layered flame animation unique to certain premium electric fires. In a rotisserie sequence, multiple flame layers tumble over each other in a continuous rolling cascade — more dynamic, more dramatic, more like an actual open fire than standard static flame animations.
The rotisserie effect is available as a selectable mode on all Mayfair fires, activated via app, remote or voice command.
Full RGB Colour Spectrum
Beyond the natural amber, orange and white flame settings, every Mayfair fire includes full RGB colour spectrum control. Blue flames, purple flames, green flames — selectable moods for every occasion, from atmospheric Halloween settings to peaceful blue winter evenings.
The toplight — a strip of LEDs above the main flame — also colour-adjusts independently, allowing ambient room lighting effects coordinated with the flame colour below.
